Australian rapper, singer, and composer Charlton Kenneth Jeffrey Howard is better known by his stage name, the Kid Laroi. His acquaintance and relationship with American rapper Juice Wrld, who was touring in Australia at the time, helped him obtain notoriety at first.

Kid Laroi Early Life & Career
On August 17, 2003, Howard was born in Waterloo, New South Wales, a suburb of Sydney. Austin Howard is his only sibling. His father, Nick Howard, is an Australian musician and sound engineer who has collaborated with artists like Bardot and Delta Goodrem. His mother, Sloane Howard, was an Aboriginal and European music executive who founded a record business and managed Popstars winner Scott Cain.
When he was seven years old, he relocated to Broken Hill, a small town in New South Wales, where he initially resided with his mother, brother, and grandparents. He was a house captain and received a speaking prize while attending the private school Sacred Heart Parish School.
In 2017, Howard together with his family relocated back to Sydney because his mother could not afford to bullying of him at private school, Sacred Heart College in Adelaide after leaving Sacred Heart Parish School in Broken Hill. Howard was enrolled at the Australian Performing Arts Grammar School in Sydney on a scholarship, but he left the school in the middle of his ninth year to focus on his career abroad.
Initially, Howard used his mother’s phone to record raps over beats, which he then uploaded to SoundCloud. Howard said that “FC6” was his first rap alias in an interview with Triple J.
In collaboration with Manu Crooks, B Wise, and Miracle, Howard released his debut EP, 14 with a Dream, on August 16, 2018. He attracted attention the same month after finishing in the top three of the Triple J Unearthed competition.
The First Time, on YouTube on January 12, 2023, Howard published a brief trailer for his upcoming debut studio album, . The tracks “I Can’t Go Back to the Way It Was (Intro),” “Love Again,” and “Kids Are Growing Up (Part 1)” are used to promote the album.
He was chosen to make his acting debut in the A24 movie Y2K in March 2023. Laroi made an appearance on “What You Say,” the twenty-fourth track on YoungBoy Never Broke Again’s sixth full-length studio album, Don’t Try This At Home, on April 21, 2023, alongside Post Malone. In April 2023, Howard gave a performance at the 22nd Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
