Requirements

Below are the requirements on how to apply and get a new driving license online;

  • You need to first apply for a learner’s license which lasts for 3 months.
  • The drive must be present at any of the DVLA offices depending on your region or residential place.
  • You need a passport photo
  • Must be 18 years and above
  • Must be educated that have BECE certifate.

New Driving License Cost

The cost of getting a new driving license from the drivers and vehicles license authority is 257 Ghana cedis.

To renew your license you need an amount of 155 ghana cedis

To upgrade your license from one type to another is 345 Ghana cedis.

To replace a lost license is 205 ghana cedis

Type B – This type is for minibusses

Types C – For all buses used for carrying mini goods

Type D – Coaches

How To Get A New Drivers License In Ghana

Below are the stages on how to get a new divers license in Ghana

  • Purchase and complete Forms F and F1
  • Undergo physical examination and eye test
  • Make payments and issue Learner Driver’s Permit, L-Plate, Syllabus and Highway Code
  • Compulsory 48-hour training with a DVLA accredited driving school
  • Capture of biometric information and scheduling for written test
  • Written exams (Computer-Based Test)
  • Oral examination
  • In- Traffic Test
  • Payment of Driver’s Licence and P-Plate fees
  • Capture for Driver’s Licence
  • Issuance of Temporary Driver’s Licence and P-Plate
