Who is Stormzy
Michael Ebenezer Kwadjo Omari Owuo Jr. known by the stage name Stormzy, was born on 26 July 1993 in Croydon, London. He was born to Ghanaian parents although their names are not available. His father was a taxi driver and he is a cousin of rapper Nadia Rose.
Together with his mother, brother, and two sisters, he was raised in South Norwood, London. Although he enjoyed music, Stormzy did not come from a very musical family.
In South Norwood, he attended Stanley Tech high school. At the local youth club, he would spar with more experienced rappers when he was just 11 years old. He completed his apprenticeship training in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, and then spent two years working in quality assurance at a refinery in Southampton, Hampshire.
Stormzy’s Professional Career
With the release of his song Shut Up in 2013, Stormzy became well-known. The song quickly went viral on social media and earned him a spot on the BBC’s coveted Sound of 2015 list. He has since achieved great success and influence in the UK and received various prizes and honours for his music.

On September 22, 2022, Stormzy released the song Mel Made Me Do It along with an 11-minute music video featuring famous performers, actors, and athletes like José Mourinho and Usain Bolt.
