The Gujarati city of Bulsar was the birthplace of the Bulsaras. Bomi needed to continue working as a cashier at the British Colonial Office, so the family relocated to Zanzibar.

Mercury was enrolled in St. Peter’s School, a boys’ boarding school in Panchgani, close to Bombay, in 1954 when he was eight years old. He also enrolled at the Ealing Art College (later known as the Ealing Campus of the University of West London), where he eventually earned a diploma in art and graphic design. He also started using the name “Freddie” at St. Peter’s. He returned to Zanzibar in February 1963, where he joined his parents in their apartment.
On November 24, 1991, in Kensington, London, England, Freddie passed away at the age of 45 from bronchial pneumonia caused by AIDS.
Freddie’s Career

After graduating, Mercury joined many bands and worked with Roger Taylor in London’s Kensington Market selling used scarves and clothing from the Edwardian era.
10 of the 17 songs on Queen’s Greatest Hits album were written by Mercury. Mercury and the rest of Queen were posthumously inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2003. His usage of a wide variety of musical forms, including rockabilly, progressive rock, heavy metal, gospel, and disco, was the most remarkable part of his songwriting.
Mercury released two solo albums and numerous singles in addition to his work with Queen. The two off-Queen albums and a number of the singles debuted in the top 10 of the UK Music Charts, despite the fact that his solo work did not enjoy the same level of commercial success as the majority of Queen albums.
