Ghanata Senior High School is a Category A public senior high school located at Dodowa in Greater Accra region of Ghana.
The school has an outstanding reputation for academic excellence and they have produced some notable alumni to Ghana and the world at large. They have had a fair representation at the National Science and Maths Quiz for over the years to rub their shoulders against some of the big schools in Ghana.

History
The school first opened its doors in 1963. It was originally constructed in Adidome, a renowned town in Ghana’s Volta region.
Gold Coast People’s College was the school’s original name before it was changed to its current name. Reverend Osabutey Aguedz created Ghanata Senior High School. After some time, the school was relocated to Dodowa, where it established its main campus.
“Carpe Diem,” which means “seize the day,” was the school’s motto. Pascaline Edwards is a well-known alumna who graduated from Ghanata.
Uniform Meaning
The uniform worn by the students reflects the colours of the school and decency is one of the things that can be witnessed in the uniforms of the students.
