The British High Commission in Ghana is the diplomatic mission of the United Kingdom. It is one of 16 British High Commissions around the world and one of six in Africa.
The British High Commission was established on 1 June 1957, with Christopher James Stone as its first Commissioner. The current Commissioner is Mr. John Butler, who succeeded Mr. David Agnew on 1 February 2017.

Communications Officer
The Communications Officer will be responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies to promote the work of the British High Commission in Ghana. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in communications and marketing.
Head of Immigration Section
The role of the head of the immigration section is to manage and oversee all activities within the section. This includes overseeing the work of the officers within the section, ensuring that all cases are dealt with in a timely manner, and liaising with other sections within the department and other government agencies as required. The head of the immigration section is also responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures within the section.
Protocol Officer
Protocol Officers are responsible for the care and protection of their Head of State or other high-ranking government officials when they are in a foreign country. They also act as the official representative of their country and provide support to the Head of State.
Assistant Trade and Investment Commissioner
Assistant Trade and Investment Commissioners promote trade, investment, and economic development in a region. They also help create opportunities for U.S. businesses abroad.
