Mfantsipim is a Cape Coast, Ghana-based all-boys boarding secondary school. The Methodist Church founded the school in 1876 to promote academic, moral, and spiritual growth on the Gold Coast at the time. Wesleyan High School was founded, and the first headmaster was James Picot, a French scholar who was only 18 years old at the time of his appointment.
Mfantsipim is known among its alumni as “The School” since it gave birth to various other schools in Ghana, including Prempeh College[3] and Ghana National College, which were founded with students from Mfantsipim.
