How Does Uber Work in Ghana?
Uber works with an App. You can download the Uber App on Google PlayStore or Apple Store. After downloading you install the app and register as a driver. When you get accepted all you do is start working and earn your money by driving people around.
However you need to take note that Uber Ghana works with registered drivers who have their own car. These drivers are connected to passengers by the company. The company now gets some percentage of the trip fare, after a successful trip has been delivered.
Requirements to Become an Uber Driver in Ghana
- Must be at least 25 years old
- Own a valid Ghana driver’s license
- Own a 2005 manufactured vehicle with air conditioning
- Have an Android or iPhone Smartphone with GPS
- Clean criminal record
- Have a valid Roadworthiness Certificate
- Complete vehicle registration.
- Have insuarance sticker
How To Register As An Uber Driver In Ghana
- Enter your email address, phone number and city
- Fill in your personal details
- Fill in your National ID (Driver’s License Number) and License Number (Reference number of the License)
- Upload all the required documents and their expiry dates
- Fill in your payment details i.e. mobile money wallet where you want to receive payments
